Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14.

Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or more early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.

这是一个发源于西方基督教节日，纪念一个或几个（后面故事有提到）名叫瓦伦丁的神父，在全世界很多民族中，瓦伦丁节是一个具有重大文化意义、宗教意义和商业意义的一个浪漫庆典，尽管在很多国家这并不是一个法定节假日。

According to legend, during his imprisonment Saint Valentine restored sight to the blind daughter of his judge, and before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine" as a farewell.
