Karim is an amateur photographer in Algeria. Aïn Séfra, the town he lives in, is known as the gateway to the Sahara. In the wee hours of Sunday, the Sahara desert started to fall down the heavy snow. Karim took the camera to the Sahara Desert, recording a large area of snow covered the red Sahara completely.

For such strange weather, the local villagers also stunned. Karim said: "It was amazing that everyone was shocked to see the snow falling on the desert, and the snow formed a stunning picture."

In this desert town, it was the first time for many young people to see the snow, and for the elderly middle-aged people, it was the second romantic memory of snow in life. The snowy Sahara desert has a unique beauty, some people feel like the Alpine milk candy, the other people feel like the foam above the coffee. In a word, which makes people very appetite.

三、这是撒哈拉40年来第3次下雪

In February 18, 1979, the town have fallen snow, but only lasted for half an hour. Then the  desert area wasn’t seen the snow falling anymore. Until December 2016, a rare local snowed. According to Karim, after the Christmas, there was a little chaos when the ground became very slippery after snowfall, and the bus passengers had to stay there. The snow yesterday was the third snowfall in the Sahara.
