小雪至，吃腌肉、糍粑...这些习俗用英语怎么说？

小雪至，各地区开始吃腌肉、糍粑、刨汤肉......这些都是小雪不可缺少的习俗，小雪的习俗大多与吃有关，今天的初中英语小编就来教大家关于小雪习俗的英文表达。

一、Making preserved pork腌制腊肉

After Minor Snow, the temperature declines sharply and the air becomes dry. It is the best time to start making preserved pork. In the past, when storage conditions were poor, people created many ways to store food. Preserved pork is one of them. Thus even in the bitter winter, the whole family could enjoy meat without going out. Some even say preserved pork tastes more delicious than fresh meat.

小雪后气温急剧下降，天气变得干燥，是加工腊肉的好时候。过去储存条件差，人们便创造出了许多种方式来储存食物。腊肉就是方法之一。因此在寒冬时节，全家人不用出门就可以吃到肉。其中一些人说腊肉吃起来比鲜肉美味。

In some areas of south China, people have glutinous rice cakes in the early 10th lunar month, which is around Minor Snow. In ancient times, glutinous rice cake was a traditional festival offering to the bull god used by peasants.

在南方某些地方，还有农历十月吃糍粑的习俗。古时，糍粑是南方地区传统的节日祭品，最早是农民用来祭牛神的供品。

二、Glutinous rice cake 吃糍粑

In some parts of the South, there is the custom of eating glutinous rice cake in the lunar month. Glutinous rice cake is a food made from glutinous rice steamed and smashed, it is popular in some parts of southern China. In ancient times, the glutinous rice cake is a traditional festival offerings in the south, the earliest offerings for farmers to worship the god of the cattle. 

在南方某些地方，有农历十月吃糍粑的习俗。糍粑是用糯米蒸熟捣烂后所制成的一种食品，是中国南方一些地区流行的美食。古时，糍粑是南方地区传统的节日祭品，最早是农民用来祭牛神的供品。

Some places will make glutinous rice cake into a round shape, some are big and some are small, which is a symbol of good harvest, festive and reunion. In some places, it also known as rice cakes, this name is also a symbol of good fortune. People often say: "New Year cakes, rice cakes, excellent harvest and longevity."

有的地方将糍粑制作成圆形，有大有小，象征着丰收、喜庆和团圆。有的地方又称为年糕，这一名称也是寓意吉祥如意，人们常说：“年糕，年糕，年丰寿高。”

三、Pork soup 刨肉汤

Around light snow, the Tujia people started the annual folk-custom activities of "Kill Pigs, Celebrate New Year," adding a warm atmosphere to the cold winter. Eat "pork soup" is Tujia’s  customs. With the finest fresh pork, the delicately cooked delicacy is called "pork soup" and is very suitable for winter health food.

小雪前后，土家族群众又开始了一年一度的“杀年猪，迎新年”民俗活动，给寒冷的冬天增添了热烈的气氛。吃“刨汤”，是土家族的风俗习惯。用热气尚存的上等新鲜猪肉，精心烹饪而成的美食称为“刨汤”，很适合冬季养生食用。

When pig is killed and shout out, the guests immediately put down their farm work, one after another rushed. Butcher just peel the pig and put it "clean edge" to the case a board, cut off a piece of plump blade of good meat to do "pork soup." Instantly, radish pork ribs soup, twice-cooked pork, intestinal liver and lungs, pig blood, shiny fragrant "pork soup" dishes filled with the desktop, fragrance overflowing.

杀年猪开宰年猪的嚎叫声一出，客人们立刻放下自家的农活，陆陆续续赶来。屠夫刚把年猪剥净“净边”往案板上一搁，砍下一块肥硕的刀头好肉做“刨汤肉”。转眼功夫，排骨萝卜、回锅肉、肠肝肚肺、猪血旺，油亮香浓的“刨汤肉”菜肴摆满了桌面，清香四溢。

四、Health Preservation节气养生

The weather is cold and damp on Minor Snow and people’s mood is easily affected, especially for depressed patient. Therefore, people with depression should pay special attention to mood adjustment during this period.

小雪节气的前后，天气时常是阴冷晦暗的，此时人们的心情也会受其影响，特别是那些患有抑郁症的朋友更容易加重病情，患有抑郁症的朋友们在光照少的日子里应学会调养自己的情绪。
